Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough was the first Authority in Warwickshire to sign up as a member of the West Midlands Combined Authority, and takes an active role in the Authority to get the best deal for the Borough.
The Borough is a strategic business location within the Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) and benefits from being located within the West Midlands, as part of the Midlands Engine. The Strategic Economic Plan for CWLEP includes Nuneaton Town Centre, which has been granted funding through the Local Growth Fund to be unlocked by 2021.
CWLEP Growth Hub
The Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) Growth Hub is the one stop shop for businesses to navigate the best business support available. The Growth Hub are regularly in the Borough helping businesses and are always available to discuss potential growth options with any business, new or old.
Economic Development Strategy
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council adopted a new Economic Development Strategy in June 2016. The document and evidence base, along with its nine strategic objectives, provides a framework for the delivery of the council’s strategic economic development objectives with the help of our partners.
Warwickshire County Council has partnered with the Borough Council to deliver Transforming Nuneaton, which will deliver the transformation of Nuneaton town centre, to achieve a mixed used regeneration proposal aimed at boosting economic growth in the town and providing new employment opportunities.
